Climate Change Adaptation Targets

The strength of the Millennium Development Goals is that they focus attention on measurable targets. Could this strength be applied to climate adaptation? Would it be possible to set measurable targets for the reduction of risks from climate change? The Netherlands Climate Assistance Programme is investigating this approach in Bangladesh, Bolivia and Mongolia.

For more information on this approach see the Tiempo Bulletin on Climate and Development, Issue 64 – July 2007 : www.tiempocyberclimate.org/newswatch/latest.htm
